Program Receives Quality Recognition

Ceva’s U.S. C.H.I.C.K Program receives independently audited quality recognition from Bureau Veritas

Ceva Animal Health, LLC,  is proud to announce its U.S. hatchery services program has received internationally recognized, quality approval. The team, part of Ceva’s global hatchery vaccination services program for poultry, known commonly as the C.H.I.C.K* Program,received quality recognition from the international testing and certification company, Bureau Veritas Group.

 “Through the C.H.I.C.K Program, Ceva’s specialists regularly visit customers’ hatcheries to run a number of tests. They are responsible for delivery of continuous training for customer operators involved in the vaccination process: vaccine storage and handling, preparation, administration quality, equipment maintenance and results monitoring. Besides delivering continuous training to hatchery employees, this process benefits poultry producers by ensuring birds are well vaccinated before being sent to farms,” said Gary Baxter, VP of Poultry Sales and Marketing for the U.S.

Ceva has a U.S. team of eight hatchery specialists who work with local managers using innovative data management tools, to continually track performance and ensure continuous improvement of results.  This is a qualified team dedicated to monitoring in ovo and day-old chick vaccination quality.  They also manage equipment and preventative maintenance program.

The quality recognition was bestowed based on the C.H.I.C.K Program Quality Code of Practice. Operations are executed in accordance with these high standards are now monitored by Bureau Veritas Group at a country level, all around the world.  In the Ceva Group 32 countries have received this quality recognition.
