Our history
Creation
Ceva Animal Health was created in 2005 when Ceva Santé Animale acquired Biomune Company, a high-tech vaccine manufacturer in Lenexa, Kansas. Ceva continues to be a market leader in avian biology in the U.S.
With the 2007 acquisition of Butler Sales Associates, Inc., we gained access to U.S. veterinary hospitals through an extensive distribution network and began providing innovative products to enhance the performance and well-being of animals.
In 2010, the company acquired Summit VetPharm, increasing Ceva's footprint in the companion animal market through the Vectra brand of parasiticides.
As its parent company, Ceva Santé Animale provides Ceva Animal Health with an extensive global network and access to vast resources, such as cutting-edge research and product innovation.
Expansion
Ceva Animal Health represents Ceva Santé Animale’s presence in the U.S. animal health industry; areas of expertise include the companion animal, poultry, and livestock sectors.
We are committed to responding to the needs of the animal health industry through product innovation. This philosophy has allowed us to expand internationally and attract new talent, particularly in the United States.
Independence
Ceva Santé Animale controls its own capital, thus providing great liberty in development choices. Ceva Santé Animale plans to continue investing in research and development and industrial expertise at its U.S. subsidiary. This level of commitment ensures that both the poultry and companion animal divisions continue to lead the U.S. animal health market.
